The great thing about blogs is that they last forever. Or that is my assumption. This blog started way before Facebook took off. But when Facebook did take off, it took me away from this blog. And now I am going back to this blog. Full circle.
Why? Blogs allow me to tell a story - my story - in a way that suits me more than other social media tools. I stopped telling that story when things got busy. It's time to start telling that story again.
A story not in just a few words, but in a few paragraphs. With lots of pictures. In context. Over years.
And the content on this blog represents my arc as an independent artist. It has brought 71,853 lifetime pageviews so far, and the more I think about that, the more amazing it is. So let this be the first of many new posts going forward. I am going to write about my printmaking, painting, art business, friends, inspirations, travels, and influences.
(Truth be told, I'm a little over the "Lonely Robot" moniker, but I'll keep it. Like a tattoo. I committed to it years ago and it ain't all THAT bad.)
ahhhh, the days we were all way to busy to blog, flickr facebook, etc, and now, we`re all right back there.... good to have a sense of humour!
